Homeschool Dance Classes

Tuesday’s are moving and shaking around The Block! We’re excited to have Ms Willow bringing her talent and technique to our new dance program. Willow comes to us all the way from Washington State where she has been teaching dance since 2013. Take the leap today by clicking the link below.

Ages 8-12 years. We start the day at 12:00 with warm ups and acting up! Our shows are all educational both for the actor and the audience. We have taken our shows to library’s, senior living facilities, preschools, elementary and middle schools around the area. We mostly travel on Tuesday’s, but some weekends - very rare. After our acting classes, we move into dance! Jazz/Broadway style dance. We start with technique and then learn some routines that incorporate storytelling, like Cinderella, and the Three pigs. Last we end with vocal technique and choir. We learn how to warm up our voices, sight read, and shape our vowels and then dive into some really cool music with Mr Drew. Classes Start at noon and end at 4pm.

Each year has a theme that guides all our lessons. 2025/26 is the year of “Minka”. A Minka is a Japanese dwelling usually found in rural areas. Our lessons this coming year will include activities like Agriculture, Origami, Ceramics, Clay and other earthy materials, Folk dancing, bell choir, wooden recorder, just to list a few.
